Themed Town of the Northwest – Leavenworth Washington

Every once in a while it is fun to be transformed into another world – and what better way to do that than visiting a themed town. No folks, I’m not talking about the Magic Kingdom (not quite my flavor – though not unbearable on occasion), but rather a few towns I’ve come across here in the northwest.

Located in the northern mountains of central Washington is the quaint town of Leavenworth. About a 2 hour scenic drive directly east of Seattle you will find this quaint Bavarian town. Everything in the town is decorated to fit the theme – hey wait, is that a gas station or a quaint little inn? It is a magical place to visit any time of the year, but is truly impressive during the holidays. Make sure you book a place to stay well in advance. Enjoy the themed shops and the great food. It’s a bit off the beaten path, but well worth the trip.

Here are a few pictures to just give you a taste. I try to never over post pictures – so that fellow travelers can experience everything with a newness of eyes.
